Finish Time

Road Conditions
The route will be mostly on pavement and sidewalks. We’ll provide an online map and directions so you don’t accidentally end up walking off the island.

Your favourite shoes: Preferably ones that won’t make you regret every step after 10,000 steps.
A change of shoes: This would be ideal.
Fully charged exercise watch, steps counter or phone.
Food: Power bars, trail mix, sandwich for lunch whatever gets you through the long haul.
Extra socks: Trust us on this one. Your feet will thank you.

FAQs
What are my options to participate?
This is really an open invitation to all to come and walk your daily steps with us for a cause. You can choose to push yourselves to the limit with the INDIVIDUAL 100,000 or 50,000 Steps Challenge, or you can create a team and walk a part of the course together while chatting and enjoying the afternoon. Your steps, your way for a great cause!
Can I take breaks?
Of course! Just remember, every minute you rest is another minute someone else is eating your celebratory pizza.
What if I can’t finish?
We’ll still cheer for you! And hey, any amount of steps still counts for something, right?
Why is this race measured in steps?
The 100,000 Steps Challenge is measured in steps because everyone’s step length is unique, whether you’re taking big strides or small, fast paces or leisurely ones. It’s not about the distance you cover, but the effort you put in, one step at a time. It is for this reason that our check points are approximate. Please feel free to modify as you need to make the right number of steps.
How will I get updates about the race?
It’s important you check back to this site often to get updates. We are all volunteers and will be committing to only one email around one week before the race date.
Disclaimer
Your legs WILL hate you. But don’t worry, they’ll forgive you… eventually. Probably sometime in the next two weeks.
